"Apache Tears" finds - | - Found on Brett's ranch while trying to extend to the south the Nenach (L6) meteorite strewn-field, and represents a new obsidian locality in Los Angeles County, California.

Close-up of obsidian nodules - | - this variety of obsidian has a high water content, as evidenced by its bubbling-up and turning white when heated by a blow-torch flame.
