The two Pinto Mountain "Iron Meteorites" that was formerly part of the collection at the San Bernardino County Museum has recently been identified as being Hematite by UCLA's John Wasson. This writer assisted the museum curator in getting this unclassified display specimen confirmed as being terrestrial.
