Name of Nevada Meteorite: Not formally named (known as the "Nevada Mystery Mesosiderite(?)")
Classification: none - not a confirmed meteorite

Credit: Images are used with permission of stone's owner, Don Edwards.

Explanation:
This month's image is supplied to us from a long time collector and good friend, Don Edwards.

The finder of the imaged specimen is not known at this time. Image was taken around September 2003 just before this specimen and another "stone" were placed on an eBay auction (Item# 2193545802).

Hopefully the finder will find more of this meteorite and make it available, so that we can see more images of this "Mystery Meteorite".

If anyone else has information regarding this "Mystery Meteorite", please contact this editor (below) and I will post an update.

The NEXT "Picture of the Day" will be next month. In the meanwhile, I will continue to accept any images or photos of any Nevada meteorites for submission to "Nevada Meteorite Picture of the Day". Your contributions are always appreciated.

Next month: Another new Nevada meteorite
