Claire 001 37º13'N 117º5'W Nye County, Nevada, USA Found 1998 May 2 Ordinary chondrite (H5) Two meteorite fragments that fit together, weighing a total of 23.03 g, were recovered by Nicholas Gessler from the surface of the dry lake nearest Bonnie Claire. The two fragments and the unrelated meteorite, Mirage, were found within one meter of each other. Mineralogy and classification (A. Rubin, UCLA) olivine, Fa 19.2; shock stage, S2; weathering grade,W3. Specimens type specimen, 7.6 g, UCLA; main mass, Gessler. Bonnie Claire 002 An 80.8 g stone was recovered by Nicholas Gessler from the surface of nearest Bonnie Claire. It was found within one meter of the unrelated meteorite, Bonnie Claire 001.
